I got an anonymous question in my inbox asking me what I thought about King of Hearts, Cassie’s latest single and the first official release from her next album. Honestly, I got this track a few days ago, listened to it once, and wasn’t in love with it. Now, don’t get me wrong. I don’t think it’s a wack song, but it’s not something I’d play in my room when I’m relaxing. If I were in a club with a drink in my hand, it would be a different story. This is definitely a cool song to hear at a party. The video is a little random, but it’s nice, and I like the video quality and artistic direction. She definitely looks great in that strapped top/one-piece thing. But then again, that’s how it usually is, right? Her looks push her music to the point that it needs to go. She’s a fashion girl and something nice to look at. She just happens to sing. Loving her, not the track.
